摘要
传统的语义理论忽视词的义项之间的关联性和层次性,因此无法完整解释词的多义现象。认知语言学认为,词义属于语义范畴,一个词的各种意义构成一个范畴,各义项成员地位不同,具有中心义项和边缘义项之分,其中心义项即原型义项。语义范畴围绕原型意义向外扩展,形成放射形结构,抽象程度也不断提高。本文依据原型范畴理论,通过对on的语义分析,试图探究其原型(核心图式)以及语义范畴围绕原型意义向外拓展的过程。
Traditional linguistic research of polysemy is criticized for its ignorance of the associations and hierarchical structures of its meanings. Based on prototype category theory, this paper, through the illustration of the spatial meanings of ＂on＂, attempts to investigate its prototype and the relationship between the spatial meanings, as well as the metaphorical extensions of the spatial meanings to abstract domains.
