Main technical parameters of AVE S 103 high speed train are presented. The design characteristics are illustrated for the train composition, pantograph, traction transformer, traction converter, drive unit, auxiliary circuit, braking system, train control and diagnosis, train safety system, bogie, along with humanistic design etc, It is pointed out that the train still features high comfort, optimum service quality and high system integrity at its max running speed of 350 km/h, representing the state-of-the-art level of high speed train in Europe.
