摘要
戊戌政变之后,蔡元培先生对晚清政府十分失望,舍翰林身份毅然南下,立志搞好教育培养人才,以“挽彼沦胥”。在主掌北大及中央研究院期间,以知人善任、不拘一格的用人思想为北大的新生与中国早期科学事业的发展做出了不朽的贡献,并在人才的培养上形成了较为完善的思路。
Mr. Cai Yuanpei was quite disappointed with the late Qing government after the Wuxu Reform, and determinedly left for the south by giving up the identity of Hardin with an aspiration to develop education and train person with ability. While presiding in Peking University and Central Research Academy, he had make monumental contribution to the students of Peking University and the development of Chinese earlier science cause with his employing idea of putting able people in the suitable position without sticking to the fixed pattem, and also developed a fairly good idea of cultivating qualified people.
