摘要
本文以功能语法为理论框架,以一则城市宣传广告语篇为例,从语境的角度分析和探讨了英汉排比修辞格的定义、功能以及如何为广告语篇体裁的社会目的服务,并从语言三大元功能的角度,分析和探讨了直译的定义,以及直译翻译策略在广告语篇排比修辞手法语码转换过程中的可行性和理想性。本文的结论是排比修辞格无标记地帮助实现了广告语篇体裁所要完成的社会目的,因此成为广告语篇体裁,特别是广告口号语篇体裁中最为常见的修辞手法之一。在一定的语境和条件下,直译是广告语篇排比修辞格语码转换的最佳选择。其原因是直译可以保留原文排比结构所构成的修辞效果和美学效果,帮助完成了译文广告语篇的社会目的,因此无标记的实现了译文广告语篇的社会功能。
This paper attempts to analyze and examine the figure of speech "parallelism"employed in a city propaganda advertisement from the perspective of the context. And this paper also attempts to define the literal translation strategy from the perspective of Halliday's three metafunctions,and examine the possibility of the literal translation of the "parallelism"employed in the advertisement slogan text type. The tentative conclusions of the research are 1) "parallelism"is one of the most commonly used figure of speech in the advertisement slogan text type since it agrees with the advertisement genre's social purpose, and helps to fulfill it; 2)in certain conditions literal translation is considered to be the best translation strategy, for in keeping the "parallel structure", it helps retain the same aesthetic and contextual effect of the source text, and makes the target text still unmarkedly fulfill its corresponding social purpose of the advertisement genre.
