晚清儒家学者刘熙载任上海龙门书院山长,“主讲上海龙门书院十四年,以正学教弟子”,培养了一批杰出人才,为推动中国早期现代化的进程作出了贡献。
Liu Xizai, a Confucian in late Qing dynasty, was once appointed as the dean of Longmen Academy, he was said to be the main lecturer in Longmen Academy for 14 years, delivering Confucianism. His efforts gave birth to a lot of talents at that time and contributed to the early Chinese modernization.
