谚语流传于民间,言简意赅,使用广泛。对英汉谚语的文化差异和文化共性以及相互翻译的方法进行探讨,有助于对英汉谚语的理解、运用和翻译,也有助于中西文化的相互介绍和交流。
Proverbs that circulate among the people comprise much matter in a few words and impart deep meanings. They are used widely. It is a good help for better understanding and communication to discuss the differences and similarities of the cultures between English and Chinese proverbs and the ways to translate from one language into another.
