摘要
针对基于半导体光放大器(SOA)的环路型全光缓存器的环路噪声累积问题,提出了用于分析噪声及输出信噪比的通用简化模型。从理论上给出了此类全光缓存器信噪比随缓存圈数变化的关系表达式,并且分析了在噪声影响下环路的动态增益特性。将连续光(CW)基座引入全光缓存器,其输出信噪比得到显著改善。和理论计算相一致的实验结果验证了该模型的正确性。
This paper presents an accurate model to analyze the noise characteristics and dynamic gain of re-circular all-optical buffer based on semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) and find the intrinsic relation between SOA's parameters and buffer's performance. The expression on the buffer's signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is given,and by introducing a continuous-wave(CW) base to fiber loop,the buffer's SNR is increased by 3 dB. The simulations show excellent agreement with experimental measurements.
