摘要
本文从教材、师资、学时及通过率等方面简要概述高等学校英语应用能力考试,并分析我院举行高等学校英语应用能力考试以来所取得的成绩和不足,再结合《基本要求》探讨高职英语教学,提出一些可行性的教学建议。
Ministry of Education has issued the Basic Requirements for the English Course Teaching, and has organized the Practical English Test for Colleges （PRETCO） for Vocational Colleges, which sets a higher demand on the English Course Teaching in vocational colleges. In this paper, the writers analyze the Passing Rate of PRETCO and sum up the teaching characteristics in their college. The writers propose that we should suit the new requirements for PRETCO. In addition, the writers put forward some suggestions on English teaching in vocational colleges.
