摘要
环境教育是建立环境意识的基础，是防治环境污染的手段，是贯彻执行环境保护法规的保证，是搞好环境保护的关键措施。
During the process of development, people have a deeper and better understanding, utilization, modification and protection of their surrounding environment, and these are all the effects of environmental education. This paper discusses (1) environmental education is the foundation of environmental awareness which is not in born but acquired from learning. There will be no environmental awareness without environmental education;(2) environmental education is the measure to prevent pollution. When we exploit, utilize or modify the environment, we can make use of our knowledge and technology and prevent disasters from happening. In the same way, we can also deal with the polluted area promptly with our knowledge;(3) environmental education is the guarantee of full enforcement of environmental protection laws. The implementation of laws must act in accordance with enhanced environmental education, in which people become alert when they know the disastrous consequences from simple and daily examples. The environmental awareness of the public will be increased and (4) environmental education be the key of environmental protection.
