Located at the shore of Lake Constance, the site is decisive. Like the surface of the water, the translucent glass cube with no base and no top changes the appearance of the scaly texture of its exterior according to the fluctuations of light and weather. The passing of day-to night-to-day, the gathering or breaking-up of clouds, storms, and seasons cause the interior concrete structure to be revealed or hidden. In some moments, the very same surface seems to be fragile and transparent, while at others, appears equally dense and strong. Despite its conceplual rigor, the sensitiveness and plasticity of its surface manifest the architecture' s potential for playful transformation.
