Objective: To study the effect of fracture on hemorheology and serum enzymology in rats.Method: 20 Wistar rats were divided into two groups: fracture group and control group. Observe the changes of hemorheological indexes and serum enzymology, including aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), lactic acid dehydrogenase (LDH), LDH-1, β-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase (HBDH), creatine phosphokinase (CK), CK-MB and alkaline phosphatase (ALP). Results: The high, middle and low shear of blood viscosity and plasma viscosity in fracture group were significantly higher than that of the control group; and the serum activities of LDH-1, CK-MB and ALP in serum in fracture group were significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.01), while the activities of AST, ALT, LDA, HBDA and CK expressed no statistical differences between fracture group and control group (P>0.05). Conclusion: The results suggested that fracture could induce abnormal hemorheological properties and increased serum enzyme release, resulting in the disturbance of organic function.
