After the ground breaking in August 2005, Shangri-La Hotel Beijing, is making good progress on its luxurious new tower to be opened in January 2007. To date, all the main structural works have been completed and the topping of the new tower was finished at the end of June. Work will be concentrated on the tower＇s interior for the next six months. Once complete, the new tower will be home to 142 guest rooms, and deluxe specialty suites, including a duplex Presidential Suite.
