摘要
计算机网络性能关系到网络的使用效率和成本，通过对影响计算机网络性能的系统潜在的因素进行分析研究．指出了协议和操作系统是影响计算机网络性能的主要因素，分析提出了优化系统性能设计的一些经验性规则，并研究总结出了一系列优化整个网络性能的措施。这些规则和措施的实施，必将会极大地优化网络的带宽效率，降低网络的运营成本。
Computer network＇ efficiency and cost relate to computer network capability. Through analyzing the potential factors which affect computer network capability, the author points out that protocols and operating system are the main factors, brings forward some practical rules for improving the design of system capability, and finds some ways to improve the whole network capability. With the help of these rules and ways, network bandwidth efficiency will be improved greatly and network cost reduced.
