摘要
在当前的3GPP规范中,IMS的策略控制和基于流的计费是分立设置的,但两者有很多相似的功能。为了降低网络配置和实体功能的复杂性、减少成本并提高控制效率、改善用户体验,有必要将两套系统进行融合。本文首先探讨IMS网络中策略控制和FBC作为分立系统存在的问题,将二者进行融合的可行性,然后将着重分析了实现策略控制和FBC的融合的网络架构,即策略和计费控制架构。
In 3GPP Release 6 standards, the policy control and flow based charging in IMS are implemented separately. Since they have some similar functions and procedures, there is the possibility of harmonization in order to provide more efficient real time control and reduce the complexity of the network. Firstly this paper discusses the disadvantages of existing separate architectures and the feasibility to merge the two. Then in details the paper analyses the merged PCC architecture, and some key technologies such as the unified method for muting and transfer of packets, the protocols used on the interfaces, etc.
