Thermodynamic Study for the Process of Producing Metallic Ytterbium from the Enriched Oxides of Thulium, Ytterbium and Lutecium by Cerium Reduction

摘要 对铈热还原铥镱镥富集物制取金属镱的过程进行了有关热力学计算,获得了富集物中几种稀土金属氧化物铈还原反应的标准反应吉布斯自由能变化与温度关系式.理论计算结果预测表明,通过控制适当的工艺参数,可以直接制取金属镱产品,这为下一步工艺实践提供了理论基础. The thermodynamic calculation of the process of producing metallic Ytterbium from the enriched oxides of Thulium, Ytterbium and Lutecium by Cerium reduction was made; and the equations of the standard free energy change of the oxides of the rare earths under the high vapour pressure in the enriched oxides during the reduction process were obtained. The theoretical calculation results showed that metallic Ytterbium could be produced by controlling the proper parameter of the process and the theoretical basis for the next practice step was provided.
