糖可以提供能量,更可以带来甜美的感觉.但不少人都认为,冠心病、糖尿病、肥胖等疾病的发生都与多吃糖有关,因此对糖敬而远之.然而科学的进步使人们对糖与糖类产品的知识加深了了解,通过选择正确的糖替代品,健康人群和糖尿病患者的生活质量都将得到改善.
Sugar provides energy and also gives a delightful feeling. However, it is believed that consuming too much of it has increased the occurrences of coronary diseases, diabetes and obesity. Advances in science have deepened our understanding on the impact to our blood glucose levels of products containing sugar and/or sugar replacers. Thus, by making better informed food choices, the well-being of not just diabetic patients but also healthy individuals can be improved.
