摘要
新闻自由是言论自由与出版自由在新闻传播领域的延伸,是民主社会的主要标志。在新闻众多报道形式中,长盛不衰的调查性报道可以较好地折射出新闻自由的影像和作用力。英国资深法官赫顿针对武器专家凯利之死而进行的独立调查结果《赫顿报告》的出台,曾一度引起全世界新闻界的轰动。从调查性报道与新闻自由的关系上,可以看出《赫顿报告》实质所在。
Press freedom is the elongation of the freedom of speech and the freedom of publication, which is important in democratic system. Fact-finding report reflects the press freedom perfectly. The Hutton Report is investigated independently by British Lord Judge Hutton. The report is about the death of Kelly; the weapon specialist and has been reported to the public. The Hutton Report stirred the press of the whole world. We can get the essence of the Hutton Report from the relationship between press freedom and fact-finding report.
