A series of highly permeating curable sythetic resin base sealing fluids (CFs) are developed for channelling and leakoff blockage in oil production and water injection wells of sandstone reservoirs in Huabei oil fidds and their basic recept consists of 60- 80% modified phenolic resin, 5-25% unsaturated polyester resin, 1-3% curing agent, 1-5% promotor, 5% plasticizer, 5% reinforcer, and other additives. For 8 grades of CF8 formulated for use at different formation temperatures ranged in 40-110℃, a retardation time of 3-8 hrs in their crosslinking/curing reactions is determined on their viscosity vz temperature curves. For the cured CFs, the tensile, compression and shear strength is in range 12.5-10.8, 13-87,and 20.0-9.2 MPa, respectively, the dissolution rate in 10% HCl, 10% NaOH and 10% NaCl solutions is〈 1% and ,when mixed with sand, the perforation penetration by bullets of different size is much less than that for set oilwell cement. These CFs have been used since 2001 in 3 production wells for water producing layer plugging and in 2 production wells for channelling blockage (in one well the pay layers are rather low permeable and in another the patching in casing has failed) with 100% plugging rate; with the sealing jobs finished, these wells have worked normally without troubles over more than 1-3 years under pressures 14-19 MPa.
