This paper expounds the emergence and development of the subject librarian system, discusses on the significance of earrying out the subject librarian system in the high-professional institute, and introduces the responsibilities of the subject librarian, and puts forward some strategies for establishing and carrying out the subject librarian system in the high-professional institute.
