摘要
通过问卷调查的方式,旨在了解高职院校非英语专业学生课外阅读的情况,分析学生课外阅读时间与阅读水平、英语学习的相互关系。结果发现,调查对象用于英语课外阅读的时间较少,在课外阅读的策略上存在一定的问题;调查对象的阅读水平、英语水平与其用于课外阅读的时间没有达到统计意义上的相关关系。
This paper aims to find out characteristics of extracurricular reading activities of 200 second - year non - English majors from Weihai Vocational College and the correlation between the time spent on extracurricular reading and other two factors, i.e. the subjects'reading comprehension and their English proficiency. Results of a questionnaire show that the time spent on extracurricular reading was relatively short, and that the strategies used by the subjects in extracurricular reading are not satisfactory. No significant correlation was found between their reading time and their reading comprehension, or between their reading and their English proficiency.
