摘要
在译界,可译性与不可译性一直是长期争论的话题。受世界可知论的哲学观影响,大部分译者在把可译性作为翻译工作的指导和前提时,往往不承认不可译性的存在。文章从语言和文化两个方面探讨不可译现象,认为应该承认不可译性的存在,同时引入“可译度”的概念,以提高译者的积极性,促进翻译学的发展。
In the field of translatology, conflicting opinions on the issue of translatability and untranslatability have been existing for a long peiod. Most holds the view that translatability is the guide for the work of translation. This paper tries to give untranslatability the equal position in the field with translatability and suggests that ＂the degree of being translatable＂ should be adopted to motivate the translators and improve the developments of translatology.
