Based on the pilot project of using clean fuel, the State Council assigned 9 provinces to use ethanol gas and the output of ethanol gas in the 9 provinces has reached 10.2 million tons. Since 2004, the gas stations in 27 provinces as Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Henan, Anhui, Hebei, Shangdong, Jiangsu, Hubei only provide ethanol gas.
