The technology of direct digital synthesis(DDS) has been playing more andmore important roles in frequency source domain with its rapid progress In this article, a newDDS integrated circuit(IC) is used to design a Doppler frequency converter(DFC) module forsubstitution for the old type'Meanwhile the way of frequency synthesis is applied to frequencymodulation(FM)'Essential testing results given showed that DDS technology has advantages suchas:multi-frequencies,thin step, convenience and flexibility,etc
