摘要
80余年来的五四运动研究可以划分为1919至1949年、1950至1977年、1978至2005年三个阶段。每一阶段都有研究热潮出现。学者关注的中心和选题取向不同,价值尺度和研究方法不尽一致。常与时代热点话题相关联是其显著特点,学术研究中不时有非学术倾向是其局限。
Studies on the May Fourth Movement in the past more than eighty years may he divided into three stages： from 1919 to 1949, from 1950 to 1977 and from 1978 to 2005. Each of the three periods had its research upsurge. A survey of the three periods reveals that scholars had different central iss,ues of concern arid different orientation in their selection of subjects for research with slightly variant criteria of values and research approaches. The common distinctive feature was their close association with the hot topics of the times and the academic studies were sometimes restricted by non - academic tendencies.
