The paper introduced the background and process of the development on ZDY4000S full hydraulic drilling rig. The paper introduced the design conception, processing and type test of the main components of the drilling rig, including the typical applications. After several applications of the rigs by the clients, good results were came from the clients and the rig is approved as a rig with a reliable performances, a high drilling efficiency and a wide application. The drilling rig will improve the level for mine gas drainage technology and provide a measure for the mine safety.
