摘要
审美教育的内容不等于艺术教育,它包括从现实生活中所获得的一切具有审美价值的情感体验在内。凡是立足于感性对象和个人趣味,又能实现对个人欲望的超越,使人达到感性与理性、个人性与社会性的统一而进入生存的自由境界的内容,都属于审美教育所要培养的情感。它是由美(优美)感和崇高感两方面所构成的。所以,要造就健全的人格,除了美的教育外,还需要崇高的教育。只有同时兼顾这两者,我们对美育的理解才是完整的。
Aesthetic education is not exactly the education of art. It refers to all the experiences of feelings with aesthetic values derived from life. The objects of aesthetic education include all feelings that are based on sensations and personal tastes on the one hand and transcend desires to achieve a unity between feeling and reason, between the individual and the social on the other, a unity that engenders an existence of freedom of feelings. It consists of the sense of beauty and the sense of the sublime, the former gives us love and fondness while the latter astonishment and awe. It is more to be felt and understood in the universe and real life, whether favorable and adverse. We have been universally acknowledged that a health and complete personality needs education in both the beautiful and the sublime. A complete understanding of aesthetic education cannot be short of either of the two.
