摘要
汉语主题句英译时可采用的方式有对应、转移和补加,但实践中对应式英译经常被忽视。鉴于此,本着异中求同的原则,本文对比分析了英汉主语、主题的差异,继而归纳出五种汉语主题句对应式英译句式。同时,文中也指出了制约对应式英译的一些因素。
Given the marked differences between Chinese topic-comment structure and English subject-predicate structure, the T-C structure typical of Chinese is usually reshuffled in C-E translation, yet a comparative analysis shows that formal correspondence between the two structures is possible in some cases. This paper, in the principle of seeking similarities from differences, offers five patterns of English sentence that formally correspond to some of Chinese T-C structures. At the meantime constraints on the oarrespondenee are also indicated.
