RUNX2是转录因子RUNXX家族成员之一,作为成骨细胞的特异转录因子,对骨组织的形成和重建起着重要作用。RUNX2决定着多能干细胞向成骨细胞分化,促进软骨细胞的成熟和软骨的血管化。另外,RUNX2与破骨细胞和细胞外基质的形成也有关。通过对RUNX2基因表达调控及其诱导成骨细胞分化的分子机制的研究,已为骨代谢性疾病的治疗提供了新的思路。
RUNX2 is a member of the runt homology domain family of transcription factors. As a specific transcription factor for osteoblast, RUNX2 plays an important role in the formation and reconstruction of bone tissue. It can determine the differentiation of muhipotent stem cells into osteoblasts, promote the maturity of chondrocytes and vascularization of cartilage. RUNX2 is also associated with the formation of osteoclasts and extracellular matrix. Defining the molecular mechanisms by which RUNX2 functions as a master regulatory gene for activating the program of osteoblastogenesis has provided novel insights for the therapeutic strategies of the metabolic diseases of bone.
