摘要
福克纳有着根深蒂固的乡土意识。他不断地在自己“邮票般大小的故乡本土”上开掘,描写那里的人物、历史与事件,表现那里的乡土人情观念。其“约克纳帕塔法世系”小说是以南方为背景创造的。他在作品中表露出深深的乡土意识,并对乡土———这个精神家园穷尽毕生进行探索。
William Faulkner has ingrained consciousness of his native land. He digs constantly on his native country like astamp. He describes the figures, history and events, and displays human concept of native country there. His novels of Yaknapatawpha are created by taking the south of America as background. He shows his deep consciousness of his native land in his works and explores all his life for native country-the spiritual homeland.
