摘要
左手介质是近年来新兴的研究项目。简要回顾了左手介质材料发展过程，介绍了该介质的基本特征以及在微波波段的应用。
There has been a renewed interest in research of Left-handed materials （LHM） in the past few years. In this article, the brief history and the fundamental electromagnetic properties of LHMs are introduced.
