Studies on Metabolites of Pilocarpine in Human Urine Using High-performance Liquid Chromatography with Tandem Mass Spectrometry

摘要 Metabolism of pilocarpine in human urine was studied by high-performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometric method after single oral dose 10 mg pilocarpine hydrochloride to a healthy male volunteer.The urine sample was collected from 0 to 8 h after oral administration. The urine sample was prepared by solid phase extraction,and then was analyzed using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with a triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometer in multiple reaction monitoring and product ion scan mode. Three metabolites were identified as the oxidative metabolite,pilocarpic acid and the glucuronide of pilocarpine.
