摘要
对于儒家来说,身体既是展示真理的感性符号,又是示敬作则的礼仪之具;既是沟通天人的媒介,又是承续族类之永恒的结点。通过对身体的修饰与打磨,儒家塑造了文质彬彬的君子形象,构筑了通向王道理想的荡荡坦途。修身构成了儒家人生实践的全部内容:既是展示真理的学问功夫,又是生产人间秩序的政治行为机制。
used for For Confucianists, their bodies were not only symbols showing truth, but also ritual tools guiding which connected the masses, and not only medias between heaven and humankind, but also knots humankind＇s continuity. Through decorating and polishing their bodies, Confucian- ists modeled the ideal image of the ＂Junzi＂（gentleman）, thus comstructed a highway to the benevolent despotic government. Body decoration had been the whole thing of Confucianist＇s life. It was a kind of ability of truth seeking and a mechanism of order producting in human society.
