摘要
针对现阶段在区域经济一体化中出现的双边FTA(自由贸易协定)浪潮的现象,运用中点选民模型,从社会福利的角度,详细分析了双边FTA对缔约国社会福利的影响,以及从双边贸易协定走向多边贸易协定过程中缔约国的得与失。解释了在全球一体化和多边贸易协定被广为推崇的背景下,双边贸易协定更受缔约国偏好的原因,并在WTO框架下对这一经济现象进行深入阐释。
Nowadays bilateral FTA becomes a tendency in regional economic integration. This article, using the median-voter model, analyses its effect on the welfare of the median-voters＇ country, and the advantages and disadvantages of the countries when bilateral FTA extends to the multilateral FTA. It also explains why bilateral FTA was preferred by countries in the days when multilateral FTA was valued as a perfect form to promote trade liberty. Finally, the article further elaborates on this economic phenomenon within the framework of WTO.
