The article probes into the thoughts meaning for the denouement of family reunion of Dong Xi - xiang in the course of the evolution of the Xi - xiang Stories. It refers to that the realization of such a denouement depends on the alteration to the plot that the actress initiatively devotes herself to the man on the sexual relationship. Following the short story of the Tang Dynasty, Biography of Cui Ying- ying, it shows the hidden influences of the psychology of manpewer that man should take initiative in the traditional sexual relationship.
