The economic functions of the government have played a vital role in the economic development of both America and Japan. The American government complements the market deficiency through the implementation of relevant laws and economic policies which guarantees the stable operation of economy, while the Japanese government has played a leading role in taking advantage of industrial policies to promote its economic boom.
