摘要
蔡元培担任北大校长期间,与以孙中山为首的南方国民党人在政治方面有许多分歧。蔡元培支持北京政府对德宣战,孙中山则持反对的态度;蔡元培站在自由派资产阶级知识分子的立场上,对孙中山领导的护法运动表示异议,主张以和谈的方式实现国家的统一,把国家的希望寄托于“好人政治”。
When he was president of peking university Cai Yuan pei and Sun Yatsen had difference in politics. Cai Yuan pei supported the Beijing government to declare war against Germany. But Sun Yatsen opposed it. Cai yuan pei meant objection to the Protect Law Movement that Sun Yat sen led. He laid claim to realize unification by peaceful negotiations and consigned hope of nation to the “good men politics”.
