Ayub Khan is the first military ruler in Pakistan. He has reined Pakistan for more than ten years from 1958 to 1969. U.S.-Pakistan relation in this decade experienced a transformation from friendliness to coldness, which affected the development of their relation in the following years. A particular study on the relation in this decade is thus very important to have a good knowledge of their relation in and after the cold war in depth.
