摘要
通过考察汉英颜色词“白”的“国俗语义”以及由颜色词“白”构成的文化词语“白宫”、“白屋”所具有的独特的联想义、象征义和感情色彩,指出对于英文White House的汉译,不仅要考虑“等值”与否、文化传真、异化和归化,还要考虑汉民族的文化接受心理。同时,指出对国俗词语及其国俗语义的研究应采取辩证的、发展的态度。
This paper has studied the national characteristic meaning of Chinese color word Bai and English uhite, especially those of the Chinese-style words Baiwu and Baigong; and points out that in E-C translation of White House, great importance must be attached to equivalence, facsimile of culture, foreignization and domestication and cultural acceptance; that the Chinese characteristics of words and meanings develop with social and cultural development. Therefore, dialectical research method must be applied and given priority to.
