摘要
常宁玉是产于湖南省常宁县的一种玉石新品种，属透辉石质玉。玉石结构均匀、细腻，光泽好，硬度较大，可加工或雕刻成多种多样的工艺品。
Changning jade,a new member of jade family,occurs in Changning county,Hunan and mineralogically it consists of diopside,very fine in grain size,homogeneous in texture,bright and hard.The jade can be processed or carved in many kinds of handicrafts.
