摘要 目的探讨血管内皮生长因子(VEGF)蛋白表达与脑膜瘤细胞增殖能力、肿瘤复发之间的关系。方法应用免疫组织化学方法检测63例脑膜瘤标本的VEGF和表皮生长因子(EGF)表达,对其中38例进行流式细胞术(FCM)测定,并进行病理学分析。结果63例脑膜瘤中,53例(84.1%)VEGF蛋白表达阳性。随组织学分级的增高,VEGF表达显著增强(P<0.05),VEGF表达与组织学分级显著相关。7例复发性脑膜瘤的VEGF表达水平显著高于原发性脑膜瘤(P<0.05)。结论VEGF蛋白的表达水平反映脑膜瘤的良恶性程度和细胞增殖能力。VEGF蛋白表达水平可能是脑膜瘤复发的预测指标之一。 Objective: To study the relationships between vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression and proliferation activity of the tumor cells, tumor recurrence, as well as epidermal growth factor (EGF) expression in meningiomas. Methods: The expression of VEGF and EGF proteins in the specimens of 63 meningiomas were detected by immunohisto-chemical technique. The DNA Index (DI) and DNA ploidy in 38 specimens out of the 63 meningiomas were examined by flow cytometry(FCM). The relationships between VEGF expression and pathological subtypes, histological grade, were studied respectively. Results: Positive staining for tumor recurrence, DI, DNA ploidy and EGF expression VEGF was obtained in 53 out of 63 cases(84. 1%). The expression level of VEGF in grade Ⅲ was significantly higher than that in grade Ⅰ and Ⅱ ( P 〈0. 05), and in the recurrent tumors was significantly higher than that in the primary tumors (P 〈 0.05). Conclusions: The expression level of VEGF represents the malignant degree and the proliferation activity of tumor cells. The level of VEGF expression may be a prediction marker for detecting the recurrence of meningiomas.
