The findings of archaeology and recordings of documents show that the ancient Shu people came from three directions: the Huangzu people living along the upper reaches of the Jialingjiang River migrated west; the Huangdi people and Chancong people living along the upper reaches of the Minjiang River moved southwest and south; Gujing people inhabiting the interjunction of the Chuanjiang River and Jingjiang River traveled west and north. All these people lived in the Chengdu Plain with favorable conditions in harmony and integrated into one tribe and established the ancient Shu kingdom.
