摘要
以分组交换和TCP/IP传输协议为主要技术基础的Internet是个只提供Best-Effort的异构网络,带宽随位置和时间随机变化,由拥塞而导致的分组丢失、传输延迟及抖动不可避免。为了在Internet上有效、高质量地传输视频,需要根据信道特性设计网络和编码器接口,即JSCC(信源信道联合编码)。文中在Internet视频传输系统结构的基础上,从拥塞控制、差错控制、面向传输的视频编码等几方面分析了基于JSCC的视频传输控制策略,并对Internet视频流传输前景做了展望。
Based on the technologies of package exchange and TCP/IP, the Intemet is a heterogeneity network only providing best - effort service. As the bandwidth vary with location and time,it is hard to avoid package losing, transmission delay and jitter which caused by the congestion. To transmit video fluently over the Intemet, the Interface between the network and the coder should be designed according to the characteristic of channel, namely the joint source/channel coding(JSCC). Based on the video transmission system structure, this paper analyses the control strategies of video transmission over the Internet from the aspects of congestion control, error control and the video coding for transmission. In the end,conclude with a vision of the video transmission over the Intemet.
