摘要
从认知科学和认知语言学的角度研究了英语语言的隐喻化特征及其与认知的关系。隐喻的理解可以分为两个步骤,首先是隐喻的辨认,然后是隐喻意义的推断。语境在隐喻的辨认和理解过程中起着非常重要的作用。隐喻的语言并不是对会话原则的违背,其理解也并不像语用学家所假设的那样,需要先理解字面意义,如果发现字面解释异常,要根据语境推断出其比喻意义。
This paper examines the metaphor features of the English language and is relation to recognition from the perspective of cognitive science and cognitive linguistics. The understanding of metaphor in English comes from first the identification of the technique and then the deduction of its meaning. The context in which the metaphor is used plays an important role in the identification and understanding of metaphor. The language of metaphor is not a violation of conversational principles, nor is it supposed in the view of pragmatics scholars, who believe the literal understanding of the metaphor comes first and then eomes a deduction of the metaphor based on context if the explanation of the literal meaning turns out to be abnormal.
