摘要
《白鲸》作为一部著名的象征主义小说,在被人们普遍理解为人与自然的斗争的同时,也可以被看成一部反对殖民主义的著作。结合小说创作的背景,通过分析亚哈、莫比·迪克、裴廓德号、以及裴廓德号上的主要人物的象征意义,可以发现白鲸又可以被看成一部鼓励印第安人反对欧洲殖民主义题材的著作。
As one famous masterpiece of symbolism, Moby--Dick is generally understood as the struggle between man and nature. But by analyzing the symbols of Ahab. Moby-Dick.Pequod and several main figures in the Pequod with the background of the novel, we can find that, in fact , Moby-Dick is a masterpiece of encouraging Indian against European colonialism.
