摘要
人们使用委婉语回避谈及或礼貌地谈及社会生活中禁忌的话题。通过语言上的模糊,隐喻, 类比,借词,语义转移达到委婉的目的,而委婉语的过度使用或长时间使用必然使其本身最终沦为禁忌, 由此,又会导致新的或更多的委婉语出现。
Euphemism is used for polite handling of taboo topics. Through linguistic approaches of vagueness, metaphor, analogy, loan term or semantic transfer, euphemistic effect can be well achieved. Nevertheless the abuse of euphemism application will make itself the victim as taboo it originally replaces, which consequently leads to more or new euphemisms to occur.
