In the 15th century there were three great navigation activities in the world: the Chinese Zhenhe' s voyage to the Occident, the Westerners Columbia' s and da Gama' s voyages. Relatively speaking, Zhenhe' s voyage was earlier in time, greater in scale than the other's two's voyages; what Zhenhe brought to the world was friendship and progress, while what Columbia and da Gama did was just colonial plunder and what they brought to the people in Asia, Africa and Latin America was destructive disasters. At the same time, due to the differences in economics, politics, and culture, the Chinese and the Western voyages differ from each other in aims, character and consequences.
