The special auction for ceramic art held in Jade recently has gathered 80 pieces of works from over 60 ceramic artists in China.There are arts and crafts masters,college professors and professional artists from Jingdezhen,Yixing, Longquan,Shiwan,Dehua and Liling.Among them are ceramic representatives such as Shi Yi-ren,Zhou Guo-zhen,Yao Yong-kang,Dai Yong-hua,Zhu Le- geng,Shu Hui-juan,Xiong Sheng-gui,Wang Yin-xian and Zhou Gui-zhen,etc. Their works possessed both formal beauty and connotive beauty,vividly created, which revealed a strong inspiration. The special auction for contemporary carving arts selected 80 pieces of excellent works from 50 prominent carving artists,which consisted of the catalogues of bamboo,ivory,jade and stone. There are bamboo carving artist Xu Bing-fang, wood carving artist Gao Gong-bo and Xu Bao- qing,ivory carving artist Cai Ci-ji,jade carving artist Yu Jing,Wang Ping,Ni Wei-bin and Ye Zi- xian,and Shoushan stone carving artist Wang Lu-huan.They broke through in craftsmanship, material selection and originality and excessed the ancient in many respects,which represented the top achievement of carving art in china and pushed the traditional arts onto a new top.
