New discoveries about the role of STAT3 in human ovarian,cervical and endometrial cancers

摘要 信号转导和转录活化因子3(signal transducers and activators of transcription 3,STAT3)是一类能被生长因子受体和非受体类酪氨酸激酶激活的转录因子,该因子被激活后可转移至细胞核内与DNA结合而调控靶基因的表达。其调控的靶基因所编码的蛋白与肿瘤细胞增殖、凋亡和转移等有关,因此STAT3与恶性肿瘤的发生、发展有关。由于STAT3能够直接参与卵巢癌、宫颈癌和子宫内膜癌等妇科肿瘤的发生、发展,因此探索该途径引起肿瘤的机制并进行干预能一定程度地抑制肿瘤的发生和发展。本文就STAT3在妇科肿瘤中的研究进展进行简要综述。 Signal transducers and activators of transcription 3(STAT3) is a kind of transcription factors which can be activated in cytoplasm by growth factor receptors and non-receptor tyrosine kinases.The activated STAT3 is translocated into the nucleus and bound with DNA to regulate the expression of its target genes.The proteins encoded by the target genes are involved in the proliferation,apoptosis,and metastasis of tumor cells,so STAT3 is related with tumor initiation and progression.STAT3 directly participates in the tumorigenesis and development of ovarian,cervical and endometrial cancers.Tumor initiation and progression can be inhibited in a certain extent by studying the role of STAT3 in oncogenesis and interfering STAT3 pathway.In this review we briefly summarize the research advancement of STAT3 pathway in gynecological tumors.
