Abstract After the rebuilding of the 75Coal Mine in Shandong Province,the coal production has been increased and the storage and transgortation sgstem is in great tension. In order to release the tension, the mine has decided to build a new coal bunker. the top of the bunker is located in the Belt Conveyor Gateway of No.320Mining District and the bottom of tile bunker is localed in the Belt Conveyor Roadway which is at the top of the shaft bottom coal bunker The construction of the bunker was first to excavate a debris chute at the center of the bunker,then to enlarge the diameter of foe debris chute to the designed diameter of the bunker from the top to the bottom of the debris chute.The diameter of the debris chute was 1500mm. 8 drilling holes each with a diameter of 65 mm weredrilled by a 75 mode geological drill rig at the surrounding area of the chute and they were loaded holes. One hole was drilled with a diameter of 105 mm at the central of the 8holes and it was an unloaded hole foe nine holes were vertically drilled from top to bottom.The depth of the bunker is 27 m.The chute was enlarged with six sections and six blasting operations.Each hole was loaded with 5 kg water gel explosive and each blasting had an advanced rate of 4.1to 4.3 m.The efficiency of the blasting holes was upto 84to 89% With the debris chute enlargement construction method,the construction cost of the bunker is RMB 303. 50Yuan/meter.
