摘要
随着天体的硬X射线辐射的实验观测的发展,对于脉冲形状甄别器(PSD)提出了苛刻的要求,使得原来的基于脉冲前沿测量的甄别器难以适应这类实验的需要。本文提出一种新的PSD,它充分利用了包含在光电管输出波形的前沿及后沿中的闪烁晶体的发光衰减时间的信息,因此具有较高的甄别效率,能有效地抑制Compton成分,它特别适用复合晶体探测器。本工作分为二部分,本文是第一部分,叙述研制这种新型的PSD的原理与必要性,并给出对这套线路的蒙特卡洛计算模拟的结果。本工作的第二部分给出具体的线路及测试结果。
With the development of experimental observation of hard X-ray radiation,old PulseShape Discriminators(PSD)based on the pulse risetime measurement are difficult to meet the needs of such experiments for many new demands have been put forward.Proposed in this pa-per is a new PSD which fully utilizes the scintillator light decay time information contained in both risetime and falltime of the output pulse from the photomultiplier tube. This PSD hashigher discriminationg efficiency and could suppress the Compton component effectively,henceis especially useful in phoswich detectors.The total work contains two parts,This paper,whichincludes the first part,states the necessity and principle of the new PSD and gives the MonteCarlo simulation results to the method.The real circuit and experimental test results will begiven in the second part.(
